  • What you can expect from the Meet and Greet: Review of current architectural plans and development of the scope of work, your budget and project timeline as a whole. Our process is reviewed and expectations are set.

  • What you can expect from the Initial Design Consultation working session: ARIM will review your “wish list” and existing floor plans, advise on changes if warranted, discuss colour of hard finishes and paint selection/placement, advise on type/layout of furniture you may need to purchase, window coverings, artwork, lighting, etc., help you determine/create a comfortable budget for hard and soft finishes, answer any additional on-site design questions that you may have, and discuss policies and procedures if you chose to move the project forward with ARIM. If you choose to move forward on your own, no further commitment is required.
    Cost: $495

    If you plan to move the project forward with ARIM services after the Initial Design Consultation, ARIM will create a Design Fee Proposal (projection of Design Hours required to complete the scope of work), Contract and Receipt of Retainer. Once this paperwork has been approved by the client, your project is officially launched!

    If you choose to move forward with ARIM’s suggestions on your own (you are a DIY-er!) then no further commitment is required. If you need further assistance in sourcing, designs, and managing your project to completion, ARIM will provide the Design Fee Proposal to move forward to the next phase.

  • A Room in Mind will help you create the home you have envisioned… and have it not necessarily look like the rest of the houses on the block! You will feel excited and not regretful or uneasy regarding all the decisions that need to be made when purchasing a new home from a community builder. This includes a selection of hard permanent finishes, paint colour, and a direction of design to make you feel confident with the sometimes “limited” choices from a builder’s design centre.

  • This added service is the “Wow Factor” to your Interior Decorating and Design services. A Room In Mind will set up your space(s) while you are out (as seen on TV) . Furniture will be delivered and placed in the room, and the space will be staged with the appropriate accessories. This service shows the value of details! You are welcome to purchase the staged items/accessories and they will be left in place for you to enjoy, or, A Room in Mind will remove them once you have seen your completed space. This is a great way to see the extra potential in your home …with no shopping or thinking required!

  • Whether you want to change a single room or create a new look for your entire home, A Room in Mind offers colour selection that will enhance and compliment your existing interior or exterior surroundings.

A Room In Mind was established in Jan 2012. Owner and lead designer, Keely Coles, has worked in the Interior Decorating & Design industry since 2005.
